Good-bye Boomie

No parent wants to help their child deal with death.  Wouldn't it be nice to protect them from it forever?  Unfortunately, Dana arrived home Wednesday to find Boomer laying on the floor dead.  Boomie had been Mo's kitty for many months now.  The hardest thing for me wasn't losing a cat that I loved, but telling my 3 year old to give his kitty one last love and hearing him tell me that he was still alive.

oh I am so sad for you and having to go through that experience with your child. In a way it can be used as a good lesson that this happens to those we love. We have lost several animals with the kids and it seems to always be hard since they become a part of our families. Much love and prayers for you all. Hugs, Mica

It is very sad. I have always felt that God put animals here for us to love and oh how I wish they could live forever. I also feel that it is Gods way to prepare our children for when a grandparent dies or someone close to them.
