Show and Tell: Quilt

It's Show and Tell over at Kelli's. Use the photo above to link to her site and join in.
Today I want to Show you Kaia's new quilt. Grammy made it for her, and she got to bring it home this week.

She embroidered all of the squares, and it has taken a long time. (Maybe she'll comment with exactly how long). It's a beautiful quilt for a little girl.

The colors go great with her new sheets too! Above is the pillow case that matches the quilt.
Here's Kaia showing off her new quilt. This quilt will be something she can hold onto and have for her children. This is actually the 3rd quilt of Grammy's we own. One is a Dale Earnhardt quilt in black and red. The other is a John Deere Tractor quilt in yellows and greens. She does an amazing job on all of her quilts. Right now she is working on one that has an Oriental theme.

What a sweet quilt for a sweet looking little girl! I have a all hand-made quilt from my grandmother that I treasure! She's been gone a long time now but I have somethig that she made for me with her own 2 hands!

Hi TJ! Thanks for checking out my other blog...

I decided to put the kitty kat stringholder on ebay this week instead. . .it wasn't as "fancy" as the other items! You can see it by copying and pasting this link:

That is beautiful, I always wonder what all the thoughts were had while it was being worked on! Probably a lot of prayers for her granddaughter too.

Gosh TJ, how did I miss you yesterday? Sorry, I'm usually a little better than this.
The quilt is beautiful. Very talented lady. Your daughter looks pleased as punch too! Jennifer

Quilt took about six weeks, the embroidery part I could pick up, while chasing after Kaia and Mo. Mo gleefully took off with one square, Kaia asked a lot if it was going to be for her. She seemed impressed when she picked an old quilt her greatgrandmother had made for her Dad and she knows GG has been gone along time. Have a quilt in the works for Mo. Maybe in a couple of months it will make show and tell

Want to thank everyone for the lovely comments on the quilt, have started one for Mo with a train theme.

Just had to pop in and see your Sunbonnet quilt, after your comment on my Show and Tell today. Thanks so much for stopping by!

This is just lovely, and I can definitely vouch for all the time and love that went into it. I'm sure it'll be a treasured keepsake. Well done, Grammy! ;o)
